CoolPlayer is a simple but functional MP3 player that consumes very few resources.

CoolPlayer is a simple but functional MP3 player that consumes very few resources.

To start with CoolPlayer doesn't install in the PC, just run it and that's it. That makes it a system that doesn't overwhelm the system and lower efficiency when you run it.

It is also totally written in C, which gives it speed when working, even in less powerful machines. It supports skins that can be found on its website, and has 8 band equalizers that are totally configurable.

CoolPlayer lets you play audio files in common formats(MP1, MP2, MP3, WAV and OGG), and you can see the all information (ID3 Tags). You can also minimize it and use various keys to control it.

CoolPlayer also has a powerful playlist editor in which you can create song lists, load them (including .M3U types), record them, order them by diverse criteria (name, album, title, genre, etc) or leave it to play randomly, edit the ID-Tags, replay from a list, and various other options. All of this in a simple interface and little space.

The program also allows songs via streaming, just by inserting the Internet addres (URL) for the song or the list of them (it allows .m3u lists). Also, as a great complement to this program, it has the option to convert MP3 files to WAV via the options menu.

CoolPlayer is a great music player that also runs directly without installation, and is completely free.
